Tis’ the season to volunteer

When each year nears to an end, we tend to reflect on the past months: the challenges and the triumphs. 2020 has been a year filled with many challenges, but there have also been some triumphs, or silver linings if you will. Humanity always finds a way to come together, even if only within six feet of one another. Despite the struggles of 2020, we find ourselves working together to find new, innovative ways to engage and educate those around us about the challenges that wildlife continues to face.

As we adjust to our new normal of socially distancing, wearing masks and sanitizing everything, Zoo Atlanta continues to move forward toward our mission, to save wildlife and their habitats through conservation, research, education, and engaging experiences. We are always seeking individuals willing to support our mission, either through financial means or through the donation of their time and energy.

This holiday season, considering donating your time. Support Zoo Atlanta by joining our team and becoming a Volunteer. Zoo Atlanta offers Volunteer Program options for ages 8 to adults. Our J.O.E.Y. Volunteer program allows youth ages 8 – 13 to volunteer with a parent or guardian. Our Volunteen Program is open to ages 14 – 17, and for those over the age of 18, we have Internship opportunities and an Adult Volunteer Program. Each of our Volunteer Programs supports Zoo Atlanta’s mission by helping us to engage guests in a meaningful way. If you share our passion to save wildlife and their habitats, please join our team of Volunteers as we engage guests in our mission through the creation of fun, engaging experiences. To learn how, visit www.zooatlanta.org/volunteer!
