Panda Updates- Monday, February 26

We often get asked what giant panda play behaviors look like. If you have ever had the chance to see any of the bears playing in person, you’ll know it can be over-the-top silly. Recently, the Panda Care Team was able to capture footage of Xi Lun playing in the dayroom. Some of the play behaviors she exhibits are somersaults, running, thrashing bamboo, pushing enrichment items around, and climbing on perching. All these behaviors are done simply because she enjoys it, and it’s fun! Seeing play behaviors from the bears lets us know they are happy and healthy.
