Save the date: Educator Appreciation Day 2019

We’re WILD for educators! Through field trip programs, ZooMobile trips, and Professional Learning workshops, we see your hard work and dedication to your students. We recognize your passion, time and commitment and want to show our appreciation for all that you do. Grab your calendars and save the dates for two special appreciation events just for you!

Join us for Educator Appreciation Day on Saturday, March 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. as we celebrate educators with free admission and admission discounts for accompanying guests. Enjoy STEAM-based stations throughout the Zoo and participate in hands-on activities. Learn about our educational offerings and discover ways to bring the Zoo back to your classroom. Spend the day in the home of more than 1,000 animals from around the world as you explore all the Zoo has to offer for you and your family.

The Educator Appreciation Day discount applies to active and retired teachers; local and out-of-state educators; homeschool parents; informal educators; administrative support staff; and active Georgia PTA members. Educators must present a valid educator ID or relevant documentation and a photo ID to take advantage of these discounts. Family members and guests accompanying educators will enjoy $2 off general admission on the day of the event.

On October 5, 2019, join us for the Educator Extravaganza – an evening soiree just for educators to relax, mingle, and enjoy special activities. Take a stroll through the all-new African Savanna as you sip wine and observe African elephants, giraffes and more. Meet Zoo educators to learn more about program offerings.
