Besides bamboo, the giant pandas enjoy some fruit like apples and bananas. When it comes to bananas, the pandas prefer overripe and mushy. When Xi Lun gets a larger piece of banana, she eats it like a push pop. She holds it with her pseudothumb while taking bites out of just the inside. Once she gets down to the end, she will eat everything in one bite, including the peel.
