Panda Updates – Monday, December 3

Recently, we completed our leafeater biscuit transition, and all of the giant pandas have adjusted well. Yang Yang was the most hesitant (as he is with most things), but shortly realized that the new biscuits were just as great as the others. Ya Lun and Xi Lun are extremely focused on food at this age, so they took the transition very well. Although, despite her food-focused mentality, we have discovered that Xi Lun is not a fan of sugarcane. This is extremely surprising, as sugarcane is usually the ultimate giant panda treat. It reminds us that all of the animals here at the Zoo are individuals with their own preferences, likes, and dislikes!
