We appreciate you!

Hi everyone, it’s Adrianna from Outback Station! Today my blog won’t be so much about the animals, but rather on behalf of the animals and their care teams. I know for everyone these have been strange and trying times, but I want to brighten your days by telling you how you brighten mine! Working around the Zoo without any guests has been odd; there aren’t kids running around and exclaiming with joy about baby goats; adults aren’t being wary about the chance the alpacas will spit on them; and it is all just really quiet … 

While I haven’t seen you all here at the Zoo I have seen you on my way home, while I’m at home perusing the internet and even on sidewalks around the Zoo! When I am driving home from work and see a Zoo Member magnet on someone’s car it takes everything in me to not honk and wave my arms around and just express my pure joy! It means so much to me and the rest of the team here at Zoo Atlanta to have all of your support from Atlanta, those around the country, and even the WORLD! If it is by being a Member, donating online, or even just by drawing us a beautiful picture outside the Zoo, we love and appreciate your support! We cannot wait to see you all again soon and to share what the animals have been up to (I know a lot of them miss all the guests, especially the goats and sheep. But don’t worry – we have been spending LOTS of time loving up on them). Hope everyone continues to stay safe and keep looking forward to when we can all be at the Zoo again soon!
