Every life at the Zoo is a story worth sharing, but his story was once told so widely and passionately that it ignited a national movement that touched two coasts. From the jungles of Africa to the shores of the Pacific Northwest to The Ford African Rain Forest at Zoo Atlanta, his life has been a symbol of the way animals shape our lives – and the power we have to shape theirs.

Zoo Atlanta offers Scouts the opportunity to earn badges while exploring the Zoo.  Through hands-on, minds-on explorations, Scouts learn about animals, environmental issues and conservation.  Through workshops, special Scout Days and overnight experiences, there are a variety of badge requirements that can be earned, in addition to earning a Zoo Atlanta Patch!

All the way from kindergarten up to seniors in high school, Zoo Atlanta offers exciting educational field trips or afternoon programs of games, animal encounters and activities to boost brain cells.
