LAST CHANCE FOR TICKETS TO BREW AT THE ZOO

May 28 event will feature the debut of Jackie’s Jam Habitat Lager

Time is running out for tickets to Brew at the Zoo on Saturday, May 28, 2022. The signature Memorial Day Weekend festival tradition has a history of selling out in the days before the event, and advance tickets are strongly encouraged. The 21-and-up event will feature samplings of a wide variety of unique craft brews from many of Georgia’s favorite breweries and cideries; live music throughout the Zoo; wildlife viewing until dusk; special Keeper Talks; and more.

As an added highlight, Brew at the Zoo will feature the debut of Jackie’s Jam Habitat Lager, an exclusive limited-time brew developed by SweetWater Brewery in partnership with Zoo Atlanta. Earlier this spring, Jackie, the Zoo’s 4-year-old male red panda, was selected to assist in choosing the ingredients for the special themed creation. Jackie had the opportunity to choose one of two options: “floral” and “wildberry” – both based on a red panda’s diet. His selection was “wildberry,” which became the basis of Jackie’s Jam, a summer lager with a jammy, berry flavor featuring hints of strawberry, blueberry, black raspberry, and red raspberry. Jackie’s Jam will be available for tasting at Brew at the Zoo; for purchase through the season at Zoo Atlanta’s SweetWater Beer Garden; and for a limited time at the SweetWater Atlanta Taproom.

In addition to SweetWater Brewery, participating breweries include Akademia Brewing Company; Bold Rock Hard Cider; Cherry Street Brewing Company; Deschutes Brewery; Dry County Brewing Company; Fire Maker Brewing Company; Flying Embers; Goose Island Beer Company; Jekyll Brewing; Monday Night Brewing; New Belgium Brewing; Owl’s Brew; Red Hare Brewing Company; Reformation Brewery; TrimTab Brewing Company; Tucker Brewing Company; Urban Tree Cidery; Wicked Weed Brewing; and Wild Leap Brew Co., each offering a variety of selections. Select wines will also be available.

Live music will include tunes from No Diggity, After School Special, Kenneth Kelly, and Robbie Litt. Brew-goers will also have an opportunity to experience Sean Kenney’s Nature POP! Made with LEGO Bricks. Produced by Imagine Exhibitions and featuring more than 40 wildlife-inspired sculptures crafted exclusively with over 800,000 LEGO pieces, the limited-time exhibition will be open at Zoo Atlanta through August 8.

Tickets are $50 for Zoo Atlanta Members; $55 for non-Members. If the event has not sold out, day-of tickets will be $60 for Zoo Atlanta Members; $65 for non-Members. Get tickets and info at zooatlanta.org/brew. Brew at the Zoo is for ages 21 and up only; guests under 21 will not be admitted.
