Panda Updates – Wednesday, March 29

After a busy couple of days exploring the new frontier of their outdoor habitats, Ya Lun and Xi Lun had a nice relaxing day inside yesterday. The recent rain in Atlanta turned the outdoor habitat into a bit of a mud pit, and while brown, muddy cubs are still darn cute, there is a safety risk of them slipping or not being able to get proper footing on wet or muddy surfaces. Combined with it all still being fairly new, we tend to err on the side of caution. This at least gave the girls a day to catch up on their beauty sleep. Ya Lun, pictured here, has cleared the 25-pound mark, and sister Xi Lun isn’t far behind at 23.5 pounds.
