Panda Updates- Thursday, June 1

As we anticipate the weather warming with the approach of summer, you may notice the pandas starting to spend more time in their indoor dayroom areas. Pandas are native to temperature forests high in the mountains of China, and these dayroom areas are temperature controlled to a cool 65 degrees year-round. As a Panda Care Team member, I also appreciate the temperatures in the giant panda building! So if you don’t see the pandas in their outdoor habitats, be sure to look in the dayrooms – which also recently got an upgrade with the installation of all-new climbing structures that the bears are really enjoying.
