Panda Updates – Monday, October 22

It seems as though Georgia has finally figured out it’s fall, and we have all been enjoying the cooler weather. Idgie the red panda, much like the giant pandas, really enjoys the cooler days and nights and is able to keep warm thanks to her dense and thick fur. During the summer, she utilizes her temperature-controlled hut that we provide her with, but this past week she has been napping or enjoying her time perched on one of her ramps. She is also vocalizing much more at this time of year. Her vocalizations are similar to the bleats that the giant pandas make, just much more high-pitched. It is definitely a great and very cute start to our mornings each day.
