Panda Updates – Monday, March 27

The cubs are hitting a new milestone: outside time! One important step for them spending time outside is that we have to make sure they can climb out of the dry moat in the outdoor habitat on their own. We gave them a practice run and they both passed with flying colors! After they successfully navigated the moat, we gave them some time to explore the habitat itself. They were both able to climb the structure in Habitat 1, and both seemed comfortable up there. We also gave Lun Lun some alone time out there to reacquaint herself with the habitat. She had to smell every inch before she decided that it was safe enough to eat some bamboo. Soon, all three will be spending more time outside!
