Although giant pandas are recognized by their black-and-white coloration, did you know that there is actually a subspecies of giant panda called the Qinling panda that is brown and white? These bears live in the Shaanxi mountain region, which serves as a border between northern and southern China. They were officially recognized as a subspecies in 2005.
