Panda Updates – Monday, January 22

If you saw the update last week about the giant panda cubs enjoying the snow, I’m sure you were wondering when an update on Yang Yang enjoying the cold weather would turn up. We’ve got you covered! As usual, Yang Yang had a great time playing in and self-anointing in the powdery snow last week. We even put a few drops of rubbing alcohol in some of the piles for extra sensory enrichment. He really enjoys when it is falling out of the “sky” towards him, so we used a rake to dust some of the snow off the berm and into the habitat for Yang to play with. I’d be lying to you if I said this wasn’t my favorite and most fun aspect of the snowy weather, although I don’t think anyone will ever have as much fun in it as Yang Yang.
