Panda Updates- Monday, August 22

It’s almost birthday season here in Pandaland! Lun Lun kicks us off every year with her birthday on August 25, followed by the twins Xi Lun and Ya Lun on September 3 and Yang Yang on September 9.^. With the heat we’ve been experiencing this summer, planning the ice cakes for the pandas has been a treat! We use the giant walk-in freezers at our Animal Nutrition Kitchen to create multi-tiered “cakes” of ice, made with juice, leafeater biscuits, and sometimes even spices the pandas love! We can’t wait to show you what we’ve been working on this year!
