Panda Updates- Monday, April 25

Giant pandas tend to eat bamboo for 14 hours a day, and for the other 10 hours they sleep. The interesting thing about giant pandas is that they don’t do all of their eating and sleeping in one sitting. They eat until they are full, and then they take a nap. When they are hungry, they wake up and do it all over again. Giant pandas have an active sleep schedule which happens throughout the day and night. Pandas’ naps tend to be about one to two hours in length at a time. (photo: Trish J.)
