Panda Updates – Monday, April 1

Since I’m still fairly new to the giant panda team, I am still constantly having new experiences with seasonal panda behavior. The giant pandas have started eating the stalks of their bamboo a lot more lately. We call this behavior culming. Keeper Danica posted a video of one of the twins culming bamboo a few weeks ago, and Yang Yang recently had a chance to show off his culming skills too! The strength of these bears never ceases to amaze me!
