Put the “you” in U at the Zoo by joining us for a wild college night!
Calling all college students, past, present, and future, to come unleash your inner explorer for a night of learning and adventure at U at the Zoo presented by Cricket Wireless.
This extended hours event features specially curated opportunities to learn more about the amazing animal kingdom with evening wildlife viewing and Ask-A-Keeper experiences. All current college students receive free admission to the Zoo. Not a college student? No problem. Wear college swag for discounted admission!
Explore the Zoo and meet up with friends, new and old, for a night of nostalgia and fun. See you there!

*Tickets for this event can only be purchased on September 13 at Zoo Atlanta’s main gates.*

- Adults in college swag: $10 off daytime General Admission price
- Children (under 3): Free

- Capture Memories: Encounter roaming photographers and strike a pose in front of your favorite animals. All digital photos available to download for free!
- Temporary Tattoos: Let your skin be the canvas at our temporary Tat-Zoo Station.
School’s Back in Session:
- Ask-a-Keeper Talks: Learn fascinating facts about your favorite animals directly from the experts!
- Education Stations: Discover interactive displays and learn about conservation efforts.
- Habitat Interpreters: Engage with knowledgeable Zoo team members and Volunteers and gain deeper insights into the animals and their habitats.
- Career Talks: Hear from Zoo Atlanta’s Animal Care Teams and other Zoo professionals to learn more about what their career paths require.
- Fantastic Flights Bird Presentation: Join our Animal Care Team in the World of Wild Theater presented by Georgia Natural Gas at 4 p.m. for an interactive wildlife presentation.
Awesome Add-Ons
- Rides and Attractions: Enjoy a ride on our classic Endangered Species Carousel; hop on the Safari Express Aboard the Norfolk Southern Zoo Train; zig zag your way through Treetop Trail presented by Kaiser Permanente; or be transported into the wild with a 360° VR experience at the Wild Explorer VR Theater. (Additional fees apply.)
- Feed a Giraffe: Giraffe feeding, located at Twiga Terrace, is open from 4:30 – 6 p.m. (Additional fees apply. Check out the Giraffe Feeding page for more information!)
- Concessions: Food and beverages, including Ben and Jerry’s ice cream scoops and milkshakes, available for purchase.
