Born August 25, 1997, at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in China, Lun Lun arrived in Atlanta with male Yang Yang in 1999. Over their 25 years in Atlanta, the two became some of the most iconic members of our animal family and became part of the cultural fabric of Atlanta.

An incredible parent, Lun Lun is the mother of seven offspring: Mei Lan (born 2006); Xi Lan (born 2008); Po (born 2010 and now known as A Bao); twins Mei Lun and Mei Huan (born 2013); and twins Ya Lun and Xi Lun (born 2016). All of these individuals now live at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding.

Lun Lun is considered to be a strikingly beautiful panda because of her round, fluffy cheeks. Over her years at Zoo Atlanta, her care team members discovered her favorite scents to be mint and cinnamon.
