TRAVEL THE GLOBE AT WILD WORLD WEEKEND
Two-day cultural heritage festival will feature live music, dance, and more from countries and continents around the world
WHAT:
Travel the globe with the return of Wild World Weekend, the signature two-day cultural heritage festival at Zoo Atlanta, on Saturday and Sunday, July 29 and 30, 2023. The event will highlight the dynamic cultures of Africa, Europe, Asia and the Pacific, and the Americas with live music, dance, and more.
Saturday, July 29: Enjoy traditional Mexican dance from Alma Mexicana; Bollywood dance from Nachlanta; Indonesian dance from Sanggar Lestari; Laotian dance from the Laotian American Society; Irish dance from Drake Irish Dance; and Mariachi tunes from Mariachi Búhos de Oro.
Sunday, July 30: See and hear steel pan music from Africa and the Caribbean from ABiKE Music; storytelling from Africa and the Caribbean by Tosinger; traditional dances of the Pacific Islands from Maculelé-Capoeira Academy; Spanish Flamenco dance and music from Berdolé Flamenco; and traditional dances of Native America by Silver Ridge Singers.
Activities and entertainment will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and are free for Zoo Atlanta Members and children under 2; free with general admission. Plan your day at zooatlanta.org.
