Certified Interpretive Guide Course
Presented by: The National Association for Interpretation (NAI) and Zoo Atlanta

Do you want to elevate your presentation skills?
Learn how to engage, inspire, and create meaningful experiences while earning nationally recognized credentials through CIG Training! During this course, you will participate in group activities, write a program outline, and deliver a 10-minute presentation on a topic of your choice, all with the support of your instructors and fellow participants. You will learn how to make your programs purposeful, enjoyable, relevant, organized, and thematic, and leave ready to facilitate meaningful experiences that inspire engagement with the world around us.

In this 32-hour course, you will learn…
- History, definition, and principles of interpretation.
- Techniques to make your programs purposeful, enjoyable, relevant, organized, and thematic.
- How to use tangible objects to connect your audience to intangible ideas and universal concepts.
The course will be led by two Zoo Atlanta team members who are certified by the National Association for Interpretation to teach the course as Certified Interpretive Guide Trainers.

Class time will be from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. each day. Please note that it is a four-day course, and you must attend all days of the training to receive the certificate.
$600 regular registration (includes a one-year National Association for Interpretation membership). NAI Members receive a discount. More details are on the registration page.
