GATHER & GLOW FEATURING ILLUMINIGHTS

Enjoy a night with the lights for ages 21 and up on November 20  

WHAT: Experience the wonders of IllumiNights at the Zoo: A Lantern Festival presented by Georgia Power during a night out just for adults at the all-new Gather & Glow featuring IllumiNights on Thursday, November 20, 2025, for ages 21 and up.  

Sip on a festive complimentary cocoa or cider (classic or enhanced with adult spirits) during a breathtaking stroll among hundreds of all-new lanterns celebrating the splendors of the natural world, from inspiring contemplations of the animal kingdom to stunningly imagined flora. Keep the evening festive with special activities:  

  • Tunes with a live set from DJ Dmark 
  • Meet-and-greets with Buddy the Elf
  • Holiday hilarity with two performances from Dad’s Garage at 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. 
  • Complimentary rides on the Endangered Species Carousel 
  • Lantern set piece photo opportunities sure to shine in season’s greetings 
  • Food, additional beverages, a S’mores station, and VR adventures at the Wild Explorer VR Theater will be available for purchase. 

 The event will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. (last entry at 8 p.m.). Guests under 21 will not be admitted.  

 Due to limited capacity, advance reservations are strongly encouraged. Get tickets here on zooatlanta.org.  

 Most members of the Zoo’s living animal population will go indoors before dark and will not be visible; visit during the day for an experience exploring wildlife.  

IllumiNights opens to the general public on Friday, November 21, with an exclusive Zoo Atlanta Member Preview from November 13 through November 16.
