Midnight is for adults, but Zoo Year’s Eve is for the kids!

Join us for a wild and wonderful family-friendly celebration as we ring in the New Year at Zoo Atlanta! 

Our Zoo Year’s Eve event is the perfect way for families to welcome the new year with fun, excitement, and a touch of animal magic.

11 a.m. – 4 p.m. in Grand Pavilion

Zoo Year’s Eve is free with general admission and free for Zoo Atlanta Members.

Event highlights:

  • Join us in the grand tent for hourly countdowns to the New Year starting at 12 p.m.! Perfect for little ones (and parents) who can’t stay up until midnight! NEW for 2025! – The celebration will be enhanced with the Coca Cola Zoo Year’s Eve Countdown!
  • Dance in the new year with Spotter the Otter and DJ Matt!  No matter what your favorite dance moves are, DJ Matt and Spotter will help you get your groove on!
  • Wonder at the talents of Squeeze the Clown on the main stage at 11:15 a.m., 1:15 p.m., and 2:15 p.m.!
  • Bubbles Over Georgia will be returning this year with more bubble fun!
  • New year? New airbrush tattoo with our airbrush tattoo artists! (Temporary tattoos also available!)
  • New Year’s ResZOOlution table! Make your New Year’s resolutions at our special ResZOOlution table, where you can write down your goals and dreams for 2026!
  • Crafts – Engage in a variety of crafts designed for kids of all ages!
  • Bounce house fun with the Honey Bee Toddler Playland bounce house and the Cotton Candy Dome bounce house!
  • Strike a pose at the Zoo Year’s Eve photo op! Fun props make for fun memories!
  • Zoo Year’s Eve party favors (while supplies last!)

  • 2:00 p.m. – Countdown with Coca Cola timer
  • 2:15 p.m. – Squeeze the Clown show
  • 2:50 p.m. – DJ Matt begins countdown to the Zoo Year
  • 3:00 p.m. – Countdown with Coca Cola timer

Squeeze the Clown

Get ready to be entertained by Meredith Gordon, a multi-talented circus artist, actor, and musician!

A familiar face on stages across the city (including the Alliance Theatre and 7 Stages), Meredith brings 30 years of experience to every performance. He has toured the world with Clowns Without Borders, earned a prestigious Tanne Award for his achievements, and was selected as an Emory Arts and Social Justice Fellow, often performing with a piano, ukulele, or accordion in hand.
