Will the entire Zoo be accessible?
Enjoy Savanna Nights all throughout the Zoo with the exception of the KIDZone area. Most activities will be hosted in our scenic African Savanna.
Can I rent an electric scooter or wheelchair during this event?
We are not able to rent electric scooters for 21-and-up events; however, manual wheelchairs will be available for rental. Please check in at The Explorer Store with any needs.
Will I see any animals?
Yes! Keep in mind, though, that Zoo animals aren’t party animals, and will head to bed at a reasonable time! Be sure you make it to the event before 8 p.m., before animals begin to head indoors.
What food or drinks will be available?
Your event ticket includes a themed welcome cocktail upon arrival. For an additional purchase (card only, please), you can enjoy full-sized mixed drinks, beer, wine, and a variety of nonalcoholic beverages. Food and snacks will also be available for purchase from select locations during the event.
Will the rides or attractions be open?
All rides and attractions will be closed during Savanna Nights.
Can I bring my baby/child, or anyone under the age of 21?
Savanna Nights may only be attended by ticketholders 21 or older. No exceptions! Visit our events webpages to see our full calendar of events appropriate for the entire family!
What should I wear?
Come as you are or dress in the theme! Dress comfortably and wear your walking shoes.
Will the event be canceled if there is unfavorable weather in the area?
This is a rain-or-shine event! Registration for fundraising events like Savanna Nights are non-refundable.
Where should I park?
Paid parking is available in the Cherokee Avenue parking lot and the Grant Park Gateway parking facility. These lots are owned by the City of Atlanta and are managed by AAA parking. Read more here. Go green and get home safely! Consider a carpool, MARTA, or use a rideshare option like LYFT. Remember, you should never drink and drive.
Animals:
