Entertain your inner wild thing in the wacky world of animal enrichment!

Have you ever wanted to paint like an elephant, scavenge like a vulture, or forage like a gorilla? Well now you can!

10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Join us at Zoo Atlanta for Play the Animal Way, a favorite event among guests, animals, and the rest of the Zoo team.

Play the Animal Way is a Zoo-wide showcase of the creative talents behind the novel objects, smells, sounds and activities that keep animals active, interested and engaged year-round. Watch your favorite Zoo animals investigate the most colorful treats of the year, sniff out their favorite scents, and solve challenging puzzles. Human guests can try a few hands-on activities at stations throughout the Zoo.

• Monkeys at 9:30 a.m. 
• Petting Zoo at 9:45 a.m. 
• Orangutan Habitat 2 at 9:45 a.m. 
• Meerkats at 10 a.m. 
• Gorilla Habitat 3 at 10 a.m. 
• Patagonian mara at 10 a.m. 
• Lappet-faced vulture at 11 a.m. 
• Komodo at 11:15 a.m. 
• Golden lion tamarin at 11:45 a.m. 
• Otter beginning at 1:30 p.m.
• Sun Bear at 2 p.m. 
• Tiger at 2:30 p.m.
• Lemurs at 2:30 p.m.
• Kunekune pigs at 2:30 p.m.
• Gorilla Habitat 1 at 2:45 p.m.

Stations can be found on Tembo Trek, the Takamenda Gorilla Deck, and along the Main Spine. Activities will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Free for Zoo Atlanta Members and children under 3; free with general admission.
