Mother’s Day at the Zoo!

Get ready to make your Mother’s Day a wild one to remember for a time like no “otter!”

Join us to celebrate human and non-human moms alike through a day full of animal encounters, in-park activities, photo opportunities, and family fun.

Admission: 

• Non-Members: Mothers will receive free admission to the Zoo on Mother’s Day with the purchase of one full-price, same-day adult or child ticket. To purchase your ticket ahead of time, please visit our ticket page or you can purchase at the front gate when you arrive.
• Members: Show your Membership card upon arrival and get Mom in for free! 

Activities:

Guests will enjoy special Mother’s Day themed experiences and activities throughout the Zoo all day long! 

Photo Fun:

• Capture lasting memories at our festive Mother’s Day-themed step and repeat, located outside the Zoo Atlanta Explorer Store from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 
• Enjoy a professional family photograph at our beautiful set piece near the SweetWater Beer Garden, with Ames Studios, offering complimentary photos from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. High-quality digital photos will be available for free download from an online gallery on May 16, 2025.

Kids’ Creative Crafts:

• Kids, make a Mother’s Day craft for Mom! Homemade Mother’s Day cards and a make-your-own button station will be available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 
• Color Me Mural: Stop by our large Zoo-themed coloring mural and add your own special touches from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

Exploration: 

• Embark on a fun-filled Mother’s Day-themed scavenger hunt!  You’ll start in Flamingo Plaza and journey through the Zoo, at your own pace, as you learn about our Zoo mothers. Available for all guests and Members from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
