Family Pride Day
October 4
Discover the rainbow of diversity and types of “families” found in the natural world!
Join us at Zoo Atlanta as we examine the different expressions of animal behavior and what that means for our understanding of nature.
10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Prepare for activities, storybook readings, and getting hands-on with biofacts that showcase the differences between and within animal species that make up this amazing world.
- Visit activity stations around the Zoo to discover the diversity of animal social structures; learn about Species Survival Plans and how accredited zoos manage their species populations; learn about parthenogenesis and other unique reproduction strategies found in the animal kingdom; and more!
- Join us for a special themed Animal Tales: An Interactive Storybook Reading at Amy’s Tree Theater.
- Explore the Zoo in a new way and challenge yourself to complete self-guided Family Pride Day themed activities around the Zoo. Pick up your activity sheet at any of the activity stations.
Activities are free for Zoo Atlanta Members and children under 3; free with general admission.
