Art Gone Wild
Visiting the Zoo in June? You definitely don’t want to miss seeing artists live in action during Art Gone Wild!
Each year more than 30 local artists participate in Art Gone Wild, Atlanta’s wildest plein air event. With varying styles and forms – from acrylic to sculpture – they fill the Zoo with beautiful colors and amazing representations of the animals, plants and scenery. This year we are happy to announce many returning favorites, along with several exciting new additions to the artist lineup!
Enjoy an evening with the artists at the Art Sale Kickoff Party, and be one of the first to view our 2019 art collection! Meet and greet the artists who’ve created these original pieces, while enjoying a cash bar and live music. All art pieces will be available for purchase on this special evening.
Entry to the Kickoff Party is free and open to the public. Enter through our Conservation Education Gate, located in the Cherokee Avenue parking lot. Proceeds from the sale of artwork directly support our conservation efforts.
This special gallery exhibit, located in the Conservation Action Resource Center (ARC), will host a variety of pieces available for purchase on June 15 and June 16. All pieces are original works created here at the Zoo en plein air (in the open air). A selection of artwork will be featured from each of our artists and you’re sure to fall in love with a piece … or two.
Plan on making this a must-see stop. You won’t find art as wild or wonderful anywhere else!
Entry to the Art Gone Wild sale is included with Zoo admission. Please see your map for the location of the ARC building.
