CELEBRATE 14 DAYS OF SLOTHMAS!

Two weeks of sloth-centered surprises begin on Wednesday, December 10  

WHAT:  In celebration of the Hoffmann’s two-toed sloth born to Nutella and Cocoa on October 13, 2025, Zoo Atlanta is counting down to Slothmas this year! Beginning Wednesday, December 10, and continuing until December 23, a calendar-style countdown hosted on zooatlanta.org will feature 14 days of exclusive photos, videos, news, milestones, and exciting opportunities to get involved.  

New doors will open daily at 12 a.m. EST. While there are reasons to look forward to opening each new door, December 16 will feature a special opportunity, with the celebration concluding with Slothmas on December 23. Visit zooatlanta.org/Slothmas to bookmark the page and to access today’s door.   

The infant sloth is the third offspring of Nutella and Cocoa. Older brother Rolo, born in 2024, continues to reside at Zoo Atlanta, which is also home to an adult female, Bonnie. The pair’s first offspring, Olivia, born in 2023, now lives at another Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) accredited organization.   

Native to Central and South America, the sloths at Zoo Atlanta spend the late fall and winter months in a warm behind-the-scenes area, so the infant and family are not currently visible to Members and guests.
