Meet Lennard
male
July 11, 2011
Giraffe
If you look closely, Lennard can be identified by his pattern of large, polygonal brown spots, which are unique to every giraffe. The spots on his body are very solid in color, while the spots on his face are lighter. He also has a spot that looks like a thin line behind his left eye. His favorite food is browse (leaves and other plants provided by the Zoo’s Horticulture Team, approved by the Vet Team) and he enjoys trying to get food out of puzzle feeders. Lennard is an aloof and sensitive giraffe, and is more reserved than his half-brother Calvin, who lives with him at Zoo Atlanta.
