Deaf Day: Family Edition

Georgia Center of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing logoZoo Atlanta is excited to partner with the Georgia Center for Deaf and Hard of Hearing on hosting Deaf Day: Family Edition on June 28!

10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreters from the GCDHH will be on hand at select animal habitats and activity stations. Members of the deaf and hard of hearing community and their families are invited to explore the Zoo, engage in fun activities, and learn more about the amazing animals that can be found at Zoo Atlanta. 

Activities are free for Zoo Atlanta Members and children under 3; free with general admission.  

ASL is a visual language that has its own unique rules of grammar and syntax. ASL is not a universal language.
