Aug. 27 is the last Brew at the Zoo of 2021!

Zoo Atlanta’s signature beer festival, Brew at the Zoo, returns for the last hurrah of the summer on Friday, August 27. Following a kickoff in May and on the heels of two sold-out events in June and July, back for one last chance are beer sampling from some of the Atlanta metro area’s favorite breweries; live music; free carousel and train rides; and evening animal viewing. Brew at the Zoo is sponsored by EY.

Reservations are available at zooatlanta.org/brew and are expected to sell out. Capacity is limited for the event, which will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Guests under 21 will not be admitted.

The August 27 event will feature tunes from The Titos, RTW, and Amanda Belair. Featured samples will include brews from Akademia Brewing Company; Cherry Street Brewing; Dry County Brewing Company; Eventide Brewing; Jekyll Brewing; Line Creek Brewing Co.; Monday Night Brewing; New Realm Brewing Company; Reformation Brewery; Scofflaw Brewing Co.; and SweetWater Brewery. Select wines will also be available.

August 27 is also the final Brew at the Zoo to try Charlie’s: Choice: A Conservation Ale, a new brew developed by SweetWater Brewery in partnership with Zoo Atlanta earlier this year. Charlie, a member of the Zoo’s adult male bachelor group of western lowland gorillas, was selected to assist in choosing the ingredients for the special themed creation. Charlie had the opportunity to choose one of three fruit options: grapefruit, wild berries, and banana – all fruits that are part of the gorillas’ diets. His selection was grapefruit, which became the basis of the brew. Charlie’s Choice: A Conservation Ale will be available for tasting at Brew at the Zoo and for purchase through the month at the all-new SweetWater Beer Garden on the grounds of Zoo Atlanta.
